We are pleased to announce a silent auction in support of rebuild efforts for the 2025 LA wildfire crisis in collaboration with Basic.Space - a Los Angeles-based platform that fosters a community of designers, artists, and creatives. Featuring three unique works by Jeremy Anderson, Casey McCafferty and Sam Orlando Miller, the auction offers collectors and philanthropists the opportunity to contribute meaningfully with 100% of proceeds evenly split between the LA Art World Fire Relief Fund and CERF+ Craft Emergency Relief Grant.
We have been deeply moved by the destruction caused by the wildfires affecting countless families, friends, colleagues, artists and clients. In light of this we are committed to playing a role in the relief effort. This time last year, we opened our first pop-up outpost in West Hollywood (US) - a milestone that brought us closer to the creative community in LA. Through this initiative, we hope to give back to the city that welcomed us so warmly.
HOW IT WORKS
Hosted by Basic.Space, the silent auction will be live until 4pm GMT / 8am PDT 4 April 2025. There will be three separate auctions (one for each work) running concurrently with their own dedicated link for bidding. Participants will place their bids privately with each lot starting at a designated minimum bid. When the auction closes, the highest bid for each work secures the win. The winning bidder will be notified via email with payment instructions.
Jeremy Anderson is a New York-based artist who has worked with ceramics for over 25 years. His intuitive practice blends throwing, assembling, and painting in a meditative, playful process with each unique work balancing perfection and imperfection. His works are held in international private collections and have been featured in Wallpaper, Architectural Digest, T Magazine, and Financial Times.
Casey McCafferty is a New Jersey-based sculptor working in wood, stone, and metal. Inspired by mythology and nature, he carves directly into the material to create unusual forms that express his inner world. His works are held in international private collections and institutions like the OMM (Odunpazarı Modern Museum) in Turkey and have been featured in SURFACE Magazine, The Design Edit, Sight Unseen, and Galerie Magazine.
British sculptor Sam Orlando Miller works primarily with mirror - a material he describes as part of a 'universal visual language'. His understanding of reflection and light stems from his upbringing in a family of silversmiths where he learned to manipulate these elements to reveal new ways of seeing the world, in turn shaping both his artistic practice and his way of thinking. His works span wall-mounted sculptures, lighting, and tables and are held in private collections worldwide. They have been featured in Galerie Magazine, The New York Times, Wallpaper, and Cultured.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If payment is not completed within the specified timeframe, the opportunity shall pass to the next highest bidder. Crating of the work is included, while shipping costs remain the responsibility of the buyer. For further information, please contact sales@galleryfumi.com.
