JAMESPLUMB was founded by two artists, Hannah Plumb and James Russell in London in 2009. JAMESPLUMB’s aesthetic is not easily pinned down. There is a love of unorthodox and unconventional beauty. The strange allure of accidental geometry, and perfection interrupted. They are drawn to that which is shaped by time. The idea that total permanence cannot be. Their objects and environments are enriched with the complex patina of time and life. They admire the obsessively handmade and time consuming. They instinctively reject the mass produced, the conventionally perfect, and that which offers only surface attraction. They love that which is in perpetual evolution. JAMESPLUMB have exhibited across the UK as well as internationally including Milan, Geneva, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
