GalleryFUMI is pleased to present By Which We Live, a group exhibition opening30 April 2026. The show brings together ten artists and designers whose practices consider the way objects, forms, and atmospheres shape the way we live.
The starting point is a shared invitation to respond to the question: how do you live? Working across functional objects and sculptural works, each maker approaches this question from a perspective unique to their practice. For some ,living may be expressed through play, softness, intimacy or ritual. For others, it may emerge through tension, memory, protection, or transformation. Together, this exhibition reflects the many ways our inner lives project into the spaces we inhabit.
By Which We Live becomes both a theme and an open question. It asks what it means to build an environment around oneself, and how art and design can influence not only how a space looks, but how it feels, functions, and is experienced.
