Study O Portable

Study O Portable, founded by the Dutch designer Bernadette Deddens and Japanese Tetsuo Mukai in 2009, is a research-based practice interested in the relationship between the cultural landscape and designed environment via object-based works.
Study O Portable's works have been exhibited internationally at The Design Museum (London), Museum of Contemporary Art (Santa Barbara), Design Parade (Hyeres), Design Miami/Basel (Miami Beach, Basel), Otrascosas de Villarrosas (Barcelona), Pavilion of Art and Design (Paris, London) among others.
For their exceptional ability to give commonplace objects new potential, the design duo won the 2018 Swarovski Designer of the Year Award.
