All But Human - A Conversation between AI and the Handmade

Gallery FUMI are pleased to present ALL BUT HUMAN - A Conversation between AI and the Handmade: an exhibition in collaboration with Louise Alexander Gallery and Fellowship, opening on 27 March in our Mayfair space.

In an age where human creativity and artificial intelligence intertwine, ALL BUT HUMAN - A Conversation between AI and the Handmade presents a dialogue between two distinct yet interconnected creative processes: one rooted in material craftsmanship, the other emerging from the boundless possibilities of AI and machine-generated art.⁠⁠Roope Rainisto is a Finnish artist known for his pioneering work with AI-generated imagery. Presented by Louise Alexander Gallery and Fellowship, his REWORLD series explores alternative realities, fragmented perspectives, and the blurred boundaries between self and society. ⁠⁠Presented alongside are handcrafted works by Charlotte Kingsnorth, Max Lamb and Tuomas Markunpoika that highlight the enduring role human touch, materiality, and the unpredictable beauty of imperfection. Together, these two perspectives - one generated, the other shaped by hand - form a conversation about craft, technology, and the shifting nature of creativity in contemporary practice. ⁠
