The worlds of design and fashion collide in this exciting collaboration between FUMI and Fendi. Three designers will be presenting new works, either making use of Fendi Selleria leather or drawing elements of craftsmanship and expertise from the fashion house. The highest level of craftsmanship for every dream home. Rejoining forces after the successful collaboration of ‘Craft Punk’ in Milan 09, Studio Glithero and Fendi again challenge the paradigm of traditional craft and age-old artisanal skills. This time Fendi encourages the studio to follow their exploration of the technique of making decorative cornice making, where zinc profiles are repeatedly run through wet plaster to create crisp forms. Glithero will present a unique furniture piece that draws inspiration from Fendi’s intrinsic and historical connection with maker, hand, tool, material and product. Freddie Yauner’s Objective Mirrors are part of his ongoing investigation into digital representations of analogue objects and the opportunities these transitions present. An Accompanying interactive installation will use the Fendi logo to create surprising virtual interventions. Tina Roeder presents a horizontal credenza in cardboard covered in Fendi leather and steel. In her design projects Roeder intends to take on topics such as dissecting architectural buildings, building sites, scaffolds.
